My First Quilt........DONE!
I am FINALLY done with my first quilt. I made this especially for Preston as a coming home with baby gift in his favorite theme: Thomas The Train. I thought it would be nice to give him something special for being the big helpful brother that he is. It's a queen size quilt which will fit perfectly on his bed in the winter months. It's very heavy and very, very warm. I did not realize how time consuming or the amount of work this involved, but I'm sure glad I didn't know otherwise I probably wouldn't have started it :) I was so proud of myself for completing a task like this because I sometimes start things, but never finish them. I think this turned out soooo cute!
Preston was absolutely thrilled when he saw this quilt for the first time. He had such a huge smile from ear to ear asking if this was his. He can't wait to put it on his bed, but the unfortunate part is, the weather is warming up so he just might have to wait awhile before he can use it.
Another view of the quilt at a different angle.
A closer look at the blue Thomas The Train material.
The back of the quilt.
I used a pattern Thomas The Train red material on the back to give it a little extra look instead of it being all red.

Prayer Request!
Upon returning home Saturday afternoon from the hospital, I noticed an intense amount of pain I was experiencing in the evening in my incision area due to having an episiotemy. Once I woke up Sunday morning, I couldn't take the pain and the prescription they gave me for ibuprofen was not even helping. The pain is so great that I can't sit, I can't stand for any length of time and the only way to get comfortable is laying in bed, but it's still painful to get in and out of bed. I contacted the doctor on call and he called in some pain medication for me to take over the weekened until I can see my doctor on Monday.
I saw my doctor on Monday and after my examination, he stated that I got an infection and that's what's causing all my pain and discomfort. He gave me a prescription for antibiotics and said it could take up to a week or longer to clear up. I have been taking the antibiotics for almost a full two days now and I don't notice a difference yet. The pain and discomfort is still the same at this point.
Please pray for me for a quick recovery. I need all the prayer I can get right now because I am very frustrated with not being able to do too much and it makes me feel down right now. My two older boys want and need my attention that I can't give them and I have a brand new baby that requires all my attention. Thankfully I can have baby Jeremiah stay in bed with me most of the time so I can take care of him while trying to recover.
Thank you for keeping me in your prayers!

Welcome Baby Jeremiah Scott!
As proud parents once again, we are excited to announce our newest member to our family Jeremiah Scott Wilhite. He was born at Saint Agnes Hospital on April 2, 2009 at 2:42 pm and he weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. & 20 inches long. He has a head full of dark brown hair and he is absolutely beautiful!
Jeremiah was only a few hours old and he was already looking around and curious about his surroundings. Whenever he hears Mommy's voice or feels my touches, he already smiles which melts my heart :)
My sleeping beauty making cute little faces while sleeping.
Getting him buckled in the carseat ready to go home. I forget how tiny they look in an infant carseat when they are brand new.
Time to go home........YEAH! We were discharged on Saturday afternoon and we headed home with our new little guy!
I can't believe Jeremiah is finally here!!! We are a family of 5 now.......WOW! God has blessed us with three beautiful & healthy children and I'm amazed at the joy and happiness they bring to our lives. I couldn't imagine my life without my children. I love being a mother, a caretaker, a friend and a teacher. It's the best job in the whole wide world!

Beautiful Baby Afghan
I wanted to share this awesome handmade gift I received from my Mom today. She made this Afghan especially for baby Jeremiah and I absolutely love the colors brown & blue together. My mom does such an amazing job crotcheing afghan's and she has made one special for each of my boys. This will be such a great memory to give them when they get older to continue to pass it on to their own families. Thanks so much Mom and we love you to pieces Nana (as Preston would say)!
