Sewing Club

I'm super excited to share with you all that I joined a Sewing Club at New Covenant Community Church. We meet monthly and the teacher has a project for us at each meeting. We also complete projects on our own throughout the month to bring in. Each month we are doing a quilt block to be added together at the end. We make 2 identical blocks each month and by the end of the class we will have 2 completed quilts... one to keep and one to donate (one for me and one for thee). I'm looking forward to being a part of this ministry, as well as meeting and bonding with other Christian woman.

Katelyn and I had tons of fun shopping at Joann's Fabric yesterday picking out our project material. YES.......you can spend hours shopping for fabric (somehow the hubby doesn't understand). Time flies when your having fun!

This material is for our 1st project I missed that I will be making up. These 3 fabrics will make a pattern called the "Nine Patch".

I chose these 2 fabrics for our 2nd project called the "Monkey Wrench".

Once I complete these 2 pattern squares, I will post pictures for you to see what they look like. Hopefully it won't take me too long! I'm looking forward to seeing what's next :)

Extended Mother's Day

My hubby is the sweetest and most loving guy and I am so blessed to have him! The following Sunday after Mother's Day, he treated me like a Queen and re-created Mother's Day all over again. He got up with the kids to let me sleep in and he even brought me breakfast in bed once I woke up. What else could a girl ask for?! Not to mention, he even let me stay in bed for half a day just relaxing and watching t.v. to get my rest and try to catch up on sleep. How awesome is that! It was a wonderul and relaxful day and I enjoyed it tremendously :)

This was my amazing looking french toast & bananas in the shape of hearts with a glass of orange juice. It was Ooohh soooo delicious! He even had 4 cards on the tray......1 from hubby and 1 from each kid! I thought that was very cute.

This is another one of my Mother's Day gifts. It's an E-Laptop pad from Brookstone. It makes sitting on the couch and being on your laptop so much easier and alot more comfortable. I love it!

And last but not least, a pedicure gift certificate for Champlain Nails & Spa (You know my son helped decorate the envelope when you see Thomas The Train and Sponge Bob stickers as decoration). He knows how much I love getting pedicures, but I usually can't justify spending the money unless I get it as a gift :) I'm looking forward to getting my pedicure this coming week before my friend's wedding!

Mother's Day

I received this beautiful bouquet of fushia pink roses the day before Mother's Day and I absolutely love them. My hubby had a nice day planned out for me on Mother's Day, but I guess I ruined his surprise by telling him we were going over to my Mom's house for a BBQ to spend it with family and a couple really good friends. We had a nice day just relaxing and eating way to much of course, but it was all soooo good! We BBQ'd Steaks and Hot Dogs and we also had Potato Salad, Hawaiian sweet rolls, sautee'd mushrooms, corn on the cobb and deviled eggs. Then we had the delicious Cheesecake Factory Cheescake to top if off! I think I over indulged myself that day and probably gained a few pounds in doing so.

My hubby is still planning on his special day for me next weekened, so I am looking forward to what it might be? He is always so good at making my day super special and I love it! I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful family & a loving husband and I thank God for them everyday. I love being a Mommy!

Here is my beautiful bouqet of pink roses my hubby got me and my son Preston was so excited to help me put them in the vase.

Roses are my absolute favorite flower.

Brotherly Love

I have the cutest and most adorable boys in the whole wide world! (ok.....so maybe I'm being a little biased because I'm mommy:)). Yesterday after lunch, I told the boys it would be naptime soon and it was the cutest thing ever..........they walked up to eachother and gave hugs and kisses to one another without Mommy even saying to do it. That definately was a moment I had to run and get the camera to capture that "Brotherly Love" moment.

Preston & Noah are best pals right now. They play with eachother all day, they help eachother out most of the time and of course, they bicker and whine when they want what the other one has. I love the stages the boys are going through and it makes me cherish each and every moment I have with them right now. YES........somedays can be very hard and tiresome (that's when you look forward to naptime), but mostly the joy and happiness they bring to me is why I LOVE being a Mommy!

Fingerprint Friday!

Every Friday pamperingbeki does a feature called Fingerprint Friday. Her idea was inspired by the song from Steven Curtis Chapman that says:

I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know its true
Youre a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

For my first fingerprint friday, I would like to thank God for my precious son Jeremiah. He will be turning 1 month old tomorrow. He has been such a blessing to our family and he brings so much joy & happiness to us all! Jeremiah is starting to smile alot, which melts my heart. He loves to be cuddled, which I absolutely love to do AND he loves mommy's touch and kisses, which I find it hard to stop kissing him all day :)

I can't believe it's already been 1 month, but time sure flies by when your having fun. It makes me realize that we need to take time out in our busy schedules to thank God for the many blessings he provides to us each and every day. I cherish each and every day with my family and I look forward to all the many more to come!
